The Promoting Wellbeing Team has access to many resources for working with young people in relation to health issues. The Up Manual is available for download click here and supports self-esteem development in youth settings by providing a range of activities that develop self esteem work with young people. "Bounce" is a resource manual for developing resilience work with young people and is designed to support group work on issues relating to alcohol and drug use, sexual health, resilience and self-esteem and is particularly relevant to work around risk taking and choice. A wide range of young person focused leaflets, workbooks and training packs are also available through the Promoting Wellbeing Team Library/Website. Click here to access Youth Publications The Self Esteem Youth Development Programme is an initiative designed to address issues identified by young people in relation to self esteem, drugs and alcohol, sexual and mental health. The initial 10 week programme was planned and facilitated by the Health Promotion Officer for Youth, Southern Education and Library Board Outreach Youth Worker and Volunteers in the Newry area. Subsequent groups have been facilitated across the Southern area with support from the HPO for Youth and the Southern Education and Library Board Youth Service. The aims of the programme are:

Manual, and is relevant to any group of young people as it can be used to provide a positive opportunity for anyone to reflect on their understanding of themselves and their relationships with those around them.
