The Walking for Health Scheme is funded across the Southern Area by the Southern Area Physical Activity Implementation Group (SAIG). The walking scheme has been a great success across the Southern Area with many local walking groups now identified. In order to support these walking groups the Southern Walking for Health Team has established local informal walking forums. The purpose of the forum is to provide local support to the groups, opportunities for information sharing and input from the walking groups into development of the scheme and annual programme of events. If you are interested in joining your local walking forum you first need to discuss this with the other Walk Leaders within your group and nominate one or two people to represent the group at the forum.
