Youth Health Advice Service

A new young person’s service has been developed by the Southern Health & Social Care Trust with a range of community and education partners throughout the southern area. The service is comprised of 4 drop-in clinics and an outreach component. The Youth Health Advice Service can be used by all young people under the age of 25.

The clinics provide information and advice on general aspects of health, as well as providing services to address sexual health issues. The services offered are free and confidential and include:  

  • Relationship Advice;
  • Condom Distribution;
  • Pregnancy Testing;
  • Chlamydia Testing;
  • Emergency Hormonal Contraception (Morning After Pill);
  • Advice on Methods of Contraception;
  • And information on other health issues such as BMI and Nutrition 

 Also signposting to other services including:

  •  Smoking Cessation; 
  • Drugs & Alcohol Support;
  • Promoting Positive Mental Health

The service also offers a community outreach component which includes working directly with the young people to deliver personal development sessions, incorporating sexual health and relationship education.

Times and location of service:

South West College Dungannon Campus, First Aid Room, every Tuesday from 3pm – 5pm

Southern Regional College Portadown Campus, Training Centre, First Aid Room, every other Monday from 3pm – 5pm

Southern Regional College Armagh Campus, College Hill Building,  First Aid Room, every other Monday from 3pm – 5pm

React Offices, 7 Nautilus Centre, Kilkeel every other Wednesday from 3pm to 5pm

Southern Regional College Newry West Campus, First Aid Room, every other Wednesday from 3pm – 5pm
