For many years CORGI has been recognised as the gas regulatory body in Northern Ireland and the UK. However, from 1st April 2010 CORGI will now be know as the GAS SAFE REGISTER. This change in name follows behind the UK, where CORGI was replaced last year. All Gas Safe registered engineers will carry identification card showing the type of work they are qualified to carry out. Before you let anyone work at your gas appliances ask to see their ID card in advance. The use of a unqualified individual to carry out a gas installation, service or maintenance work could put you and your family at risk of gas leaks, fires, explosion or carbon monoxide poisoning. To keep you and your family safe have your gas appliances serviced regularly by a qualified Gas Safe engineer. For further information visit: Or Telephone: 0800 408 5500
