Community Development Strategy

 

The new Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) is currently  developing a Regional community Development Strategy. In the interim, the Trust continues to use the model detailed in “Working in Partnership” Southern Area Community Development Strategy Review 2000-05 and Action Plan 2005 – 2009 (SHSSB, 2005).   This includes a practical framework within which the Trust can deliver effectively on its aims.   

 

The key areas of that model are:

  •  Co-ordination
  • Organisational Development
  • Staff Training and Development 
  • Support for organised community activity
  • Support for local community development
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
