Community Sector Training

Community Sector Training (CST) is a model of partnership working. Its Management Group is drawn from the statutory, voluntary and community sectors providing overall direction for the project. The Project was an initiative of the Southern Health and Social Services Board (SHSSB). Since 1 April 2007, under the Review of Public Administration, the management of CST has been transferred to the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT). CST is now part of the Promoting Wellbeing Department.

CST’s mission statement is:

‘to improve health and wellbeing by sharing expertise through community education’.

CST provides training to the community sector, flexibly organised to suit the groups in their own venues, and delivered by community based trainers.  This training is free to community groups.
